Hebrew Union College http://wvxu.org en The Boris Schatz Collection now on display at the Skirball Museum http://wvxu.org/post/boris-schatz-collection-now-display-skirball-museum <p><strong>Abby Schwartz</strong>, the interim director of <strong><a href="http://huc.edu/research/museums/skirball-museum-cincinnati">The Skirball Museum</a> at Cincinnati’s Hebrew Union College</strong>, joins our Anne Arenstein to talk about the current exhibit, <a href="http://huc.edu/research/museums/skirball-museum-cincinnati/current-exhibitions"><strong>The Boris Schatz Collection</strong></a>, an impressive display of bronze and wood reliefs, ivories, oils and sepia paintings by Boris Schatz (1867-1932), the noted artist and founder of the Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts.</p><p> Fri, 15 Nov 2013 05:00:05 +0000 Anne Arenstein 19564 at http://wvxu.org The Boris Schatz Collection now on display at the Skirball Museum Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit in Cincinnati http://wvxu.org/post/dead-sea-scrolls-exhibit-cincinnati <p>They're some of the most important historical documents ever discovered and now they're here in Cincinnati.</p><p>The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit opens Friday, November 16th at the <a href="http://www.cincymuseum.org/dead-sea-scrolls" target="_blank">Museum Center</a>.</p><p>It features more than 600 objects ranging from pottery to the scrolls themselves.</p><p>Uzi Dahari is deputy director of archaeology with the Israel Antiquity Authority.</p><p>"All these phases in making a monotheistic nation, we can see in this exhibit step by step.
