Along with winning the White House this November, both major political parties are also hoping to gain a majority in the US Senate. One key senatorial race is right here in Ohio, with incumbent Senator Sherrod Brown, a Democrat, running against Ohio State Treasurer Josh Mandel, a Republican.

Hamilton County Juvenile Court

Citing a conflict of interest, Hamilton County Commissioners are hiring an outside attorney to represent the county and a juvenile court employee.

Hundreds of Paul Ryan supporters who came to hear the Republican vice presidential nominee speak, were also on the receiving end of a barbecue lunch.

The campaign speech at Lunken Airport was short but there was plenty of time to meet and greet afterwards as surprised supporters were told to get in line to eat Montgomery Inn barbecue. Paul Ryan served it up.

Paul Ryan, in line serving sandwiches, said, "Nice to see you. What's your name? " Colleen. "Hey, Colleen, Paul. Chicken or pork?"

With less than one month until the general election, the candidates, along with their campaigns and supporters, are pulling out all the stops to sway voters their way, especially in Ohio, a key, if not essential, prize in winning the presidency.
